The championship is contested by 12 teams divided into three groups. The first phase is played in a single shift and the members of each group face the members of the other two. The top three in each group and the best runner-up qualify for the semifinal, while the 5th to 8th placed in the overall standings compete for the Inconfidência Trophy. The bottom three teams will compete in the playoffs. The two worst teams in the triangular will be relegated. In case of equal scores, the tiebreakers are:

1) more wins;

2) better goal difference;

3) more pro goals;

4) fewer red cards;

5) fewer yellow cards;

6) raffle.
