The 2022 Pernambuco Championship is played by ten clubs. Where in the first phase, all face off in a single round, and the top six advance, but the top two go straight to the semifinals.

The last four placed in the first phase face each other in the quadrangular phase in a single round, with the last two being relegated. In case of equality in the points in the consecutive points phases, the tie-breaking criteria are:

1) more wins;

2) better goal difference;

3) more pro goals;

4) fewer red cards;

5) less yellow cards;

6) draw.

Quarters and Semifinals are played in a single game in the knockout system. In case of a tie, the spot will be decided on penalties. Final is played in round-trip matches. In case of equal score, the tie-breaking criteria are: 1) better goal difference in the match; 2) penalty shootout.
