Reyong is one of the instruments that are shaped like a monkey / cam. Generally rickety is made from filigree material (a mixture of pure tin and copper) but some are made from iron or plates. The color of the reong pencon is generally golden depending on the material used.

Reong is played by four drummers using each of the two pelvis on the right and left hands. The game technique applied is tehnikubit-ubitan which in the gamelan ranks is commensurate with cecandetan, kotekan, tetorekan which refers to plain and sangsih techniques in the Prakempa ejection called "Gagebug". Gagebug rereongan called I elephant mina name. The first reyong player and third (from the left) play a plain punch, while the second and fourth players play sangsih punches. Each reong player has a tone area to be able to play the techniques above.
