Islam is a treatise brought by the Prophet Muhammad which complements the treatises of previous prophets. The Prophet Musa brought a treatise which tended to regulate more about law, halal and haram.

The Prophet Isa brought a message that predominantly taught morals and manners, there were no laws there. The Prophet Muhammad closed Allah's message by bringing laws and morals. We study this legal side in jurisprudence.

Islam is a method of life, after the Prophet Muhammad died, he only left behind "heirs", in this case it was his heirs who taught us this method. His heirs are the ulama of the people.

This method is known as sharia, namely everything regulated in the Koran and hadith. That is what we must not violate, it must be obeyed without having to ask a lot of questions or protest. Meanwhile, the laws concluded by the "heirs" of the prophet from the Koran and hadith are called Islamic jurisprudence.

In other words, Islamic jurisprudence is the result of the "headedness" of our previous scholars guided by the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah. The difference between sharia and Islamic jurisprudence is that Islamic jurisprudence does not have the "sanctity" that sharia has, meaning that among the many opinions of scholars on a problem, we are allowed to follow one of them, and we are not blamed if we do not follow the others.

Our scholars say that the most noble knowledge is the science of fiqh, because with this knowledge we know what is halal and haram. So that we do not cross the red line set by Allah. In fact, in a hadith, the Prophet said, "If Allah desires goodness for a servant, then He will teach him religious knowledge (fiqh)."

In this book, I try to discuss the priorities of the month of Ramadan, and then discuss the fiqh of fasting. Seeing that fasting is a seasonal worship, which comes once a year, so maybe when it comes again, we need to remember some of the laws of fasting. Here, although I predominantly use the opinion of the Shafi'i school of thought scholars, in some cases I am "forced" to move to another school of thought, due to considerations of propositions, environment and maslahah.

I tried to simplify the delivery of fasting jurisprudence, so that it can help our brothers and sisters who don't have time to attend the recitation, find it difficult to get references when they want to fast or for other reasons. Hopefully this little treatise will help. And hopefully it will be a good practice for me and all those who have helped so that this book can reach your hands.

Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
