Constitution of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay (2004)

The Constitution of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay (October 31, 2004) is the Magna Carta, the highest written fundamental norm of Uruguay. Among other matters, it sets the limits and defines the relationships between the powers of the State and of these with its citizens, thus establishing the bases of the government and the organization of the institutions in which such powers are based. It also guarantees the people rights and freedoms.
