About Yuni Talker

Communication by pictograms for people who cannot use their voice.

I'm a french developper and the father of a little girl who can't use her voice to speak.

For several years she used a physical file related to the PECS method, based on image laminated with scratch. This allowed her to progress, but regularly, the number of images increasing, she sometimes lost the images.

I then looked for an application, and found the most suitable.

However, this application seems to no longer receive updates, so I decided to create mine to which I will add the missing options!

On the other hand, I can't imagine someone can sell or make money with this type of application, that's why this application *really* is free, ie without ads, without additional purchase, without request for donations, and without any personal data tracker.

This version is still incomplete but directly usable. Just think about backing up your workbooks once you've had a good time building them. I speak from experience ^^ '(That said for this third version the backup is not yet available, but it will not be long, forecast for version 5)

/!\ If you plan to use this app, for now you have to know that all proposed labels for pictos are in French. So you'll have to adapt each label and/or pronunciation when building your workbook. /!\

✔ Dictionary of 13,000 pictograms (ARASAAC) /!\ FRENCH LABELS BY DEFAULT /!\

✔ Enrich this dictionary with your own personal images

✔ Speech Synthesis (Bound speech for one sentence)

✔ Build your own custom binder

✔ Create category trees to classify pictograms

✔ Give each pictogram a label and/or a pronunciation and/or a color

✔ Panel to build a sentence (Add Remove pictograms)

✔ Usage options such as auto back to home after picto selection

Features to come:

★ Adding usage options (Do not allow repetition for the same picto)

★ Possibility to add a whole library of pictos

★ Ability to enable / disable dictionaries for searches

★ Improved rearrangement of pictograms

★ Backup and import of custom workbook

★ Improved design (more fun)

★ Creating multiple workbooks from these dictionaries

★ Adjusting the speed and tone of speech synthesis (eg child voice)

★ Ability to add other dictionaries yourself (PECS or others)

Nothing more to say, if you install this app on a tablet dedicated to it for example, light, long battery life, and fully disconnected (no wifi no bluetooth no 4G no wave!), Then you add a strap so that 'a person can wear it around the neck, this will allow this person to express themselves easily and quickly as if she had a binder, except that she will never lose any image, and that the weight and bulk will be reduced.
