Yala, a free GPS and network location alarm

Yalla is colloquial for "let's go!" in Arabic. So tell Yala where you want to go and let's go! Yala will notify you when you are approaching your destination. In the meantime, take a nap or just immerse yourself fully in your book.

To tell Yala where to go, you can simply tap the destination on the map. You can also save a destination and load it later.

Yala was conceived to suit the needs of those who want full control over the location services of their devices. For instance, you can specify:

- Minimal time between each location update.

- Radius of alert.

- Precision.

On a short journey in the city, a small minimal time (say 10 seconds) and a relatively small radius (say 200 meters) of alert can be set. On a long overnight journey, you might prefer to save up your battery, and set a long minimal time (say 120 to 600 seconds), and a rather large radius (say 5000 to 60000 meters).

You should test the settings of the precision that right for your travel, and the quality of your device's GPS module.

On recent devices, you should configure the notification channels with the alarms and notifications sounds you want.

Yala needs Google Maps and Google Play services to deliver the map. Yala asks for the permissions to use the location services of your devices.
