The Washington State Capitol in Olympia is the centerpiece of representative government for the people of the state and truly represents the peoples house! From the height of its 287-foot masonry dome, to the gilded magnificence of its Tiffany lighting fixtures and its marbled halls, it is an amazing place to discover and experience!

This virtual tour utilizes 360’ panoramic views, pre-recorded video clips, voice overs, photos, and text, to bring the capitol building and its inner workings to life! Students will learn about the three branches of government and the importance of voting and public participation in the law making process.
