Kick your workouts up a notch or bring your hear rate down while still listening to your favorite music. The Workout Music Tempo Changer (WMTC) will let you change the tempo (beats per minute or speed) of a audio file on your Android device while keeping the songs tone. The WMTC lets you quicken or decrease the music tempo but the song sounds the same. No chipmunks or Darth Vader vocals. The audio quality works very well for tempo changes from 60 percent to over 150 percent.

If you do regular cardiovascular workouts you know how much a swing from 80 beats per minute (BPM) is to 120 BPM. The WMTC will give you more flexibility in your song choices while trying to keep a target heart rate.

The interface is designed to be simple to use, add and change play lists, change song tempos all while working out. The tempo change can be bypassed if you just want to listen to your play lists.

The app is try before you buy with a one minute song play time then fades out. Download it, swipe right or use the top tabs to do a quick scan of the help (yes there is even graphical help to get the most out of all the functionality) then swipe left to add songs to a play list. Hit play and use the scroll wheel to change the tempo.

Because of the audio algorithm performance and graphical interface the WMTC needs 32 Meg of memory and a ARM V.7 processor. Most if not all Android devices even a few years old now will be able to run it. But how would anyone know that? Just down load it and run. No big deal, the app will let you know before purchasing then finding out.
