Founded in December 1995, WKVE Telecom started in the market for Providing Internet Access - Added Value Services (SVA) on Dial-Up Accesses, and even became an Affiliate of UOL - Universo Online - in the East of Minas Gerais and Vale do Steel / MG, in the cities of Governador Valadares, Ipatinga, Coronel Fabriciano, Timóteo and neighboring regions. Subsequently, in September 2002, it sought the granting of Anatel - National Telecommunications Agency, to provide Multimedia Communication Services (SCM), a license that allows a company to offer telecommunications services focused on Data Communication and Internet. At that time, only 26 (twenty-six) Brazilian companies owned the aforementioned concession, among them WKVE Telecom.

The large Operators only provided telephone services and, because they were present in national and international PTTs, marketed IP Links to Internet Access Providers, including WKVE Telecom, which in turn provided internet access services to users who had lines as a means of data transport.

However, later on, the major operators started to provide Internet access services to end users, since they owned the telephone lines, means of transport, in the vast majority of households, and therefore, they were in competition with local providers. In this context, with the SCM grant, WKVE Telecom initiated the implementation of its Own Transmission Network, via Radio, so that it could expand its service provision to other cities, where the large operators did not attend, contributing, in a way, to the Digital inclusion. This initiative was fundamental so that it could guarantee its permanence in the market in front of the competition of the big operators, which was already evident. WKVE had the differential in customer service, when the Internet was not so well known. It was necessary, then, much more than to commercialize a service ... It was necessary to show the client the facilities that it would have, with the use of the great Network.

In 2003, wkveTelecom dared to acquire, at the ANATEL auction, license to use the 3.5GHz Frequency Band for the South, North and East of Minas Gerais (DDD 33, 35, and 38), as well as in Espírito Santo (DDD 27 and 28) and South of Bahia (DDD 73), giving the possibility of attending in Exclusive Frequency to 634 Municipalities totaling a total population of 12.83 million inhabitants. However, the costs of the equipment for this Frequency were very high, and not only the WKVE, but also the other companies that acquired it, did not have the desired return. However, WKVE Telecom gained more visibility in the Market once it "small" but conquering space together with great Operators. And WKVE Telecom did not stop there, always following, within its possibilities the technological advances, in 2011 also sought the Anatel Grant to provide the Fixed Switched Telephone Services - STFC, thus adding the telephony services in its Portfolio .

Due to its good penetration in the corporate market, and due to the incentive of its own customers that demand services, WKVE started in 2013 the provision of Structured Cabling and Optical and Metallic Network Deployment / Maintenance services for private enterprise networks and also for growth of its own Fiber Optic backbone.
