What is the Wipp Taler?

The Wipp-Taler is a voucher solution for shops, restaurants and service providers in the Tyrolean Wipptal. The Wipp Taler is an alternative payment option with which you can shop, eat and drink and take advantage of leisure activities in participating partner businesses. With the Wipp-Taler app, it also offers a digital payment system.

The Wipp-Taler is the ideal gift for all imaginable occasions – in the family circle as well as in your company. The technical processing is carried out by Tirol-Taler digital GmbH, which transfers the corresponding credit per employee to the employee's app.

The vouchers can be purchased at the sales outlets in denominations of EUR 25 and EUR 100. The Wipp-Taler credit can be easily and easily transferred from the card to the Wipp-Taler app.

Why do you need the Wipp-Taler?

The Wipp-Taler encourages people to buy locally, it promotes stationary retail and helps to keep the added value in the region and to keep and create jobs. It is the antithesis of online trading and helps to maintain the Wipptal flair. The Wipp Taler can be redeemed in participating shops, restaurants and service providers in the Wipptal.

How does the Wipp-Taler app work?

On the one hand, the credit can be transferred from the card to the app by scanning the QR code.

On the other hand, a company can purchase a quota. The company can send this credit to its employees digitally. The employee downloads the Wipp-Taler app from the App Store onto his/her smartphone.

As soon as an app user has received credit from the company, a QR code is generated in the employee's app in which the corresponding credit is stored. This credit can be redeemed by the employee in participating shops and restaurants in the Wipptal. The participating partner company scans the QR code in the employee's app and the voucher value is reduced by the respective amount.

The “Wipptaler Wirtschaft” association transfers the amount of the redeemed credits to the partner companies once a week.
