WGNS was established in 1947. Since that date, WGNS has provided the community with local news, high school sports broadcast, MTSU football / basketball broadcast and Braves Baseball.

The "GNS" in WGNS stands for "Good Neighbor Station." The locally owned and operated station has focused on providing the latest in local news since our first day of broadcast in 1947 and we continue to bring you the latest in things happening all throughout Rutherford County, TN - One of the fastest growing counties in the Volunteer State.
