Galiakot, a small town situated at the bank of Mahi river,coordinates 23.536°N 74.009°E. It is a place with tomb of Moula Sayedi Fakhruddin Shaheed,Jain temples and Shitla Mata temple. The town is panorama of the charming scenes of nature.

Bohra community is having its own presence in the town. They know this place by the name of "Taherabad". There is another town 3 km away from Taherabad known as Mohammediyah. Both Taherabad and Mohammediyah are mainly populated by Bohra community. There is a Bohra community school, Saifiyah Senior secondary school,which has produced above 50 Engineers,more than a dozen doctors,C.A. and many B.A. , B.Sc. and B.Com.

They follow the concept of community kitchen as per the preaching of Syedna Aali Qadar Muffadal Saifuddin Aqaa (tus),known as Faiz ul Mawaid Al Burhaniyah.
