The story of the historical novel entitled TUSALAMA' (Revealing the Inspirational Story of Sheikh Yusuf Al Makassari which is full of meaning for the current generation), uncovers the veil of local history and culture, the religiosity of the figure of the warrior cleric and was crowned as a national figure and hero of two countries, Indonesia and South Africa.

This story was extracted from classical manuscripts in South Sulawesi in general and the Riwayat Tuanta Salamaka ri Gowa (abbreviated as RTSG) manuscript in particular. It is a document or archive of local history and culture which is described as the white rose of history in the South Sulawesi area.

To make them real documents and archives that can support today's development, these manuscripts need to be examined critically and analyzed for their language so that they can achieve the expected goals.

One of the manuscripts in South Sulawesi that is owned by many community members is the Riwayaqna Tuanta Salamaka ri Gowa (RTGS), or Riwayaqna Tuanta Sehe Yusupu ri Gowa manuscript.

This novel consists of 25 stories, a mosaic collection of the life of Sheikh Yusuf, better known as Tuanta Salamaka. Starting from the story of Sheikh Yusuf's parents, from the time he was pregnant until the time he was born he always showed miracles that were never witnessed by society at that time.

The story of his journey to seek knowledge, in his efforts to develop religion and spread its teachings. Until the phenomenal story of death ends with an epilogue of Tuanta Salamaka Sheikh Yusuf Al Makassari's advice.

The mysticism and supra-rationalism that occurred in Syekh Yusuf led to an increase in his personality so that he became a legendary figure who can inspire and enlighten the current generation (read millennial generation, digital generation) to interpret life for the better, not only in the world but provision for life in the afterlife.
