The turkey is certainly one of the most well-known birds that can be found in North America. It is a large bird that shares a close relationship with other birds like chickens, pheasants, and quails. There are two distinct types of turkeys: the wild turkey and the ocellated turkey, both of which belong to the genus Turdus.

They make grunting sounds, gobble-gobble noises, and shake their feathers while they strut around. The male can increase his chances of successfully mating with a female by performing this flashy turkey trot. The gobble is a loud, rapid gurgling sound that turkeys are able to produce. The gobble is one of the primary vocalizations of the male wild turkey, and it is used primarily in the spring to let the hens know that the male is present in the area.
