The National Assembly deliberated and adopted in its session of March 30, 2012, then in its session of December 17, 2012, for compliance with the Constitution following decision DCC 12-153 of August 4, 2012, Law No. 2012 -15 on the code of criminal procedure in the Republic of Benin.

This law is inspired by the vision of its authors to offer fair criminal justice to all Beninese citizens without discrimination.
