The dictionary, in line with the portal, has a simple and intuitive layout with the possibility of searching for specific words from Sassari and consulting the list by letter. Each term is accompanied by a written translation, with indications on phonetics, and an audio file that allows listening and verifying the correct pronunciation.

The linguistic variety is an integral part of the culture of the Sassari, Sorso, Porto Torres, Stintino and Nurra areas, as attested by the written, oral and artistic-musical tradition and, at the same time, one of the most endangered languages ​​of the region due to of an aggressive policy of devaluation to which it has been subjected, especially in the scholastic contexts of the capital, from the post-war period to today. The city of Sassari, the most populous in the north-west of the island and reference point of the territory from the economic and administrative point of view, has had and has a key role in the diffusion and conservation of the language. For this reason it was decided to focus on a project that promotes the knowledge and diffusion of the Sassari area and that involves the new generations through two fundamental aspects: new technologies and the involvement of schools.

SASSARI.TV is the web portal of the Cultural Association Torretonda Telesassari.tv whose project is to enhance and promote the Sardinian territory through the dissemination of a contemporary image of Sardinia, beyond the stereotypes that led to the creation of a misleading and folkloristic imagery of the region. Objective pursued by the Entity from the beginning of its activity through the local community TV Telesassari.tv, of which it is the owner and which broadcasts digitally on channel 622 in the Province of Sassari since 2010, thanks to the design and production of television formats on key issues. Programs on the role of women in island society, the literary production of and on Sardinia, film production, the history and architectural and cultural heritage of Sardinia; the transmission of events, conferences and events of interest, publishing and the organization of meetings and conferences on issues concerning the culture of the territory, are at the center of TV production and of the same site www.sassari.tv

The website is part of this cultural project with a view both to widen the TV audience through the streaming and the online publication of the thousands of hours produced in these years of activity, and in the diversification of services and in the construction of tools for the promotion of the territory. In particular, the Events section stands out for its interactivity: each user can update and enrich it by entering the initiatives by filling in a simple form. Each event, once the veracity of the information has been verified, is published in the portal in the list of Events arranged in chronological order. All events are clickable and accompanied by an in-depth page and related website link or Facebook page. A service that gives the possibility to have a direct access to the cultural, artistic, scientific and entertainment offer in general of the territory.

The contents in Sardinian language in the Site Archive are among the most varied and include, for example, the 90 lessons of Sardinian and the 90 lessons of Sassarese of the project “Letzioni / Letziones. At school of Sardinian and Sassarese ”, created and broadcast on digital terrestrial between 2011 and 2012. Other materials relating to the promotion and dissemination of the Sardinian language on the portal are the theater performances in language, conferences and conferences organized on territory and organized by different bodies.
