Started in 2009 by Dr. Lu Gang, TechNode began as one man’s attempt to tell the world about what’s happening in China’s tech and startup ecosystems. Since that time, we have grown into a trusted and respected information outlet, events organizer, and integral part of the tech and startup community both inside and outside of China with our partners at TechCrunch.

Each year we hold three events throughout China. Our annual innovation and entrepreneurship awards ceremony ChinaBang sees the best and brightest of China get recognized for their contributions to their community and industries. On top of ChinaBang, we also organize two TechCrunch events to connect the Chinese startup community with the rest of world. Featuring the Startup Alley, VC Meetup, Hackathon, and discussions on the main stage, our TechCrunch events bring together hungry startups, VCs looking for their next investment, and the companies that are shaping China’s future.

TechNode produces content in English and in Chinese. Both sites stress ethical and professional journalism; respect for our sources, the companies we cover, and other stakeholders; and, of course, a passion for the stories we cover.
