There are many rounds to this tournament. First you have to pass the simple rounds. You have to qualify for them to get in the tournament. Basic round is easy; they are a single lap race. Swimming specialties such as breaststroke, butterfly, backstroke, freestyle crawl, and the freestyle flip turn gets you extra impressive points. Then there are show rounds where you show you off your skills and you can land at any of the first three positions to qualify. Then there is the final and hard round of hundred meter swimming races and to and laps. You have to earn the first position to become victor and pass to the next level.
