It was revealed in Makkah and it has 31 ayaat.
1. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who recites it, his recompense is on Allah that He gives him Garden (Paradise) and silk (of Paradise).
2. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: Whoever recites Surah Dahr his reward is the High Paradise, and whatever he wishes about all the matters he has in his heart, Allah would fulfill them all.
Surah ad-Dahr (The Period)
This Surah is also called al-Insan (The Man). It was revealed in Makkah and it has 31 ayaat. It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (S.w.T.) that the reward for reciting this Surah is Jannah and its bounties.
If a person recites this Surah, especially on Thursday mornings, he will be rewarded with a hundred houries and four thousand slaves in Jannah and he will be given a place close to that of the Holy Prophet (S). Reciting it win war brings victory. Drinking water in which this Surah has been dissolved is good for those with heart problems.
Whoso recites this surah on Thursday mornings would live in the company of the Holy Prophet in paradise, and particularly he would be given a privilege to have beautiful wives.
Whoso writes this surah on a china plate, washes it with clean water, and drinks it, would get rid of heart ailments, also it would make his body and mind strong.
