SPLAN is a productivity and convenience application. We seek to help users plan and execute intracity group outings seamlessly. Think of planning an outing like a puppet show, where the puppets are the several stakeholders (friends, cab drivers, restaurants, etc). Unfortunately, one planning the outing inevitably assumes the role of a puppeteer- in a desperate bid to coordinate among the puppets, in order to carry out a desired outcome. Going out should be a hassle-free experience for everyone involved. Inconveniences caused while making and carrying out plans not only distracts people from having a good time, but often also discourages them from going out in the first place. There are several companies trying to solve different aspects of inconvenient outings, but none to mediate between the stakeholders. By assuming the role of the puppeteer, we take the responsibility of resolving several caveats of group outings that are either incompletely addressed or overlooked altogether, to ensure a seamless and convenient outing experience to our users.
