The main aim of writing this book is none other than to help students understand the family sociology course material.

In general, this book is divided into 14 chapters which explain in depth how to understand the family and its problems from a sociological perspective, namely a functional structural perspective, symbolic interaction, conflict, feminism and a postmodernist perspective. The four scopes of family sociology, namely family relationship patterns, family systems, family patterns and external family factors are packaged in 14 parts of this book.

At the end of each chapter in this book, 10 summative questions are presented, consisting of 5 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. The purpose of these evaluation questions is to determine students' understanding of the material that has been discussed.
