SolarTester is a professional tool for the calculation and assessment of worldwide photovoltaic systems. It makes performance predictions and cost of energy estimates for grid-connected power projects based on installation and operating costs and system design parameters specified by the user. You can run a simulation and generate professional reports on generation, losses and financials.
With SolarTester you can also make accurate real-time measurements of the solar irradiance components, not only global irradiance as with common pyranometers or solarimeters but also diffuse and reflected components. You can assess the current performance of a photovoltaic system and measure its efficiency. SolarTester can also display the current UV index (international standard measurement of the strength of the ultraviolet radiation) and allows you to take all the necessary precautions to protect yourself from sunburns, eye damage, skin aging or worst diseases such as skin cancer.
Please, note that real time measurements require a special hardware add-on (SS02 sensor) connected to the audio jack of your smartphone.
