With our pioneer project SURAAA - Smart Urban Region Austria Alps Adriatic, we have been developing automated driving in a real environment on federal and municipal roads since 2017 and have been driving daily and according to schedule since 2018, documenting every test kilometer. The sensors on the automated shuttles ensure safe driving, both on busy main roads and narrow secondary roads. In addition, there is always a trained operator on board who can stop and steer the bus manually in exceptional cases. This service is free of charge for passengers during the test phase.
