About Sleep Cycle Calculator

Calculates when you should sleep or wake up.

Ever wake up feeling groggy, even after a full nights worth of sleep?

Studies show that waking up in the middle of an REM cycle can leave people lethargic and sleepy throughout the day. This application quickly calculates the optimal times in order to wake up between REM cycles.

There are three options:

- If you want to go to bed immediately, it will calculate when you should wake up.

- If you have to be awake by a certain time, it will calculate when you should go to bed.

- If you want to take a nap, it will calculate how long you should nap for.

All times are color coded. Green times indicate the ideal amount of sleep. Red times are less recommended and will not be as beneficial.

The calculations are made with the assumption that it takes an average person 14 minutes to fall asleep with an average sleep cycle lasting 90 minutes. If you know exactly how long your personal average sleep cycle duration is, you can customize and save it in the settings.
