Made possible by the collaboration between Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum and Madpixel, Second Canvas allows you to explore selected works of this collection, in superior quality and resolution.

Main features of the Second Canvas app:

• Explore the works in the super-high Gigapixel resolution, to the extent of being able to see the brushstrokes and craquelure of the painting.

• Discover the incredible details in the art and the stories behind them, told by the Museum staff: people, symbols, the technique, style or the life of the artist.

• Share your own stories on social media, using the details of your choice. You can use the option of hooking it up to your TV screen at home or at school, or use it with Apple TV.

• Download details of the works and their associated stories to your device to have them with you even when you’re not connected or are in airplane mode.

• Available in Norwegian, Sámi and English.
