Sea lions are marine mammals that belong to the suborder Pinnipedia and are found in the ocean. They are members of the Otariidae family, which also includes fur seals, and are referred to collectively as eared seals. Even though there are seven different species of sea lions across the globe, they are all considered to belong to the same family.
