Salmo 92

Great Psalm

1 How good it is to give thanks to the Lord and sing praises to your name, O Most High;

2 proclaim your faithful love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,

3 to the sound of the ten-stringed lyre and the zither, and the melody of the harp.

4 You make me happy, Lord, with your deeds; the works of your hands make me sing for joy.

5 How great are your works, Lord, how deep are your purposes!

6 A fool does not understand, a fool does not see

7 that though the wicked spring up like grass, and all evildoers flourish, they shall be destroyed forever.

8 For you, Lord, are exalted forever.

9 But thine enemies, Lord, thine enemies shall perish; all evildoers will be scattered!

10 You have increased my strength like that of a wild ox; you poured new oil on me.

11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my enemies; my ears heard the stampede of my evil aggressors.

12 The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, they shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon;

13 planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

14 Even in old age they will bear fruit, they will remain fresh and green,

15 to proclaim that the Lord is righteous. He is my Rock; there is no injustice in him.
