Salmo 149

Great Psalm

1 Hallelujah! Sing to the Lord a new song, praise him in the assembly of the faithful.

2 Let Israel rejoice in its Creator, let the people of Zion rejoice in its King!

3 Let them praise his name with dancing; offer him music with tambourine and harp.

4 The Lord delights in his people; he crowns the oppressed with victory.

5 Let his faithful ones rejoice in this glory, and on his bed sing for joy!

6 May high praise be on your lips, and a two-edged sword in your hand,

7 to exact vengeance on the nations and bring punishment on the peoples;

8 to bind their kings with fetters and their nobles with shackles of iron;

9 to execute the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his faithful ones. Hallelujah!.
