Salmo 138

Great Psalm

1 I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; before the gods I will sing praises to you.

2 Returning to your holy temple I will prostrate myself and give thanks to your name, because of your love and your faithfulness; for you have exalted your name and your word above all things.

3 When I called, you answered me; You gave me strength and courage.

4 All the kings of the earth will thank you, Lord, for they will know your promises.

5 They will celebrate the deeds of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord!

6 Though he is on high, the Lord looks down on the humble, and recognizes the proud from afar.

7 Though I am in trouble, you preserve my life from the wrath of my enemies; Stretch out your right hand and deliver me.

8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me! Your love, Lord, remains forever; do not forsake the works of your hands!
