Salmo 102

Great Psalm

1 Hear my prayer, Lord! Come to you my cry of help!

2 Do not hide your face from me when I am in trouble. Incline your ear to me; When I cry, answer me quickly!

3 My days are gone like smoke; My bones burn like live embers.

4 As the parched grass is my heart; I even forget to eat!

5 From moaning I am reduced to skin and bone.

6 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.

7 I cannot sleep; I look like a lonely bird on the roof.

8 My enemies mock me all the time; Those who insult me ​​use my name to cast curses.

9 Ashes are my food, and with tears I mix that I drink,

10 Because of your indignation and your anger, because you have rejected me and driven me away from you.

11 My days are like growing shadows; I am like the grass that fades away.

12 But you, Lord, shall reign on the throne forever; Your name will be remembered from generation to generation.

13 You will rise up and have mercy on Zion, for it is time to show him compassion; the right time is come.

14 For their stones are loved by your servants, their ruins fill them with compassion.

15 Then shall the nations fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth his glory.

16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion, and will manifest himself in the glory that he hath.

17 He will answer the prayer of the helpless; his supplications shall not despise.

18 Let this be written for the generations to come, and a people yet to be created shall praise the Lord, saying,

19 “The Lord looked down from his high place on high; from heaven observed the earth,

20 to hear the groans of the prisoners and to release the damned. ”

21 Thus shall the name of the LORD be spoken in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

22 when the peoples and the kingdoms are gathered together to worship the Lord.

23 In the midst of my life he struck me with his strength; It shortened my days.

24 Then I asked, “O my God, do not take me in the midst of my days. Your days last for all generations! ”

25 In the beginning you established the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands.

26 They shall perish, but you shall remain; They will grow old as garments. As clothes you will change them and be thrown away.

27 But you remain the same, and your days will never end.

28 The children of your servants shall have a habitation; their descendants will be established in your presence.
