One of the most important advantages of acoustic floor underlays is the ability to eliminate the sound of footsteps on the floor (known as acoustic improvement) determined in the EPLF recommendation as RWS, meaning Reflected Walking Sound improvement.

Because this phenomenon is not widely known, it is difficult for the end user to assess how a specific RWS value translates into a real life experience and how to evaluate the expected difference when selecting a specific floor underlay.

This application allows you to simulate the sound of footsteps on the different floor types installed over different floor underlays. Thanks to this mobile app, you will be able to understand important difference in floor usage comfort in reflected walking sound elimination when using RWS Barrier technology based underlays, in comparison with traditional floor underlays.

Simulated results have only comparative purpose and should be treated illustratively. The actual effect of eliminating footsteps sounds depends on the specific installation conditions, the characteristics of the floor and the subfloor on which it was mounted.
