The Russian football team (Russian: Сборная России по футболу) is the selection of Russian players representing the country in international men's football competitions, under the aegis of the Russian Football Federation. This selection had replaced the Soviet Union team in January 1992. An Imperial Russian team had briefly existed, between 1912 and the outbreak of World War I in 1914

Russia made their debut in international competition on their first attempt at the 1994 World Cup. They then qualified for the 2002 and 2014 World Cups, but were eliminated in the first round each time.
