I used to love popcorn time on my phone, but ever since the new upgrade was made and we now have to use safewatch, and it will not work if you use a different VPN, this is bs until they remove this very very bad update

This method works for me everytime. Just uninstall the app and then re-install it. It should work without the safe watch or any other vpn. But after few days it will ask for safe watch, do the same trick and it will work fine.
