Somebody spent a long time recreating a good feel of Scrabble in digital form. However, someone also ruined the experience!
Who wants an advert every time a round is completed. Every time, with loud sounds that can not always be cancelled nor muted. It’s a quietgame not an advert competition?
Secondly, the dictionaries are many but all American. American is not English, we have had 200 years apart. Am I being picky? No, other European languages are playable but the British English is not present – oops
Thirdly, why does the screen start moving when you drag your tiles into position, sometimes it also morphs by zooming too. Creepy!
Fourthly, the screen is messy, at times the different zones of the screen ‘merge’ so there is no distinction. Also with the computer, teacher and I all playing the game there seems no clear indication of who isdoing what and when that movement has ended. Yes, I can turn the teacher off but it is not then useful and no better really?
In summary this is typical of American large companies that dictate to their users how to play the game on their terms, maximising advertising on the way. I can not imagine anyone playing through the adverts let alone any serious Scrabble player.
