Islam Reveals the Secret of the Meaning of the Day in the Book of Sab'iyat Fi Mawa'izihil Barriyat

The book, entitled "ISLAM REVEALS THE SECRET OF THE DAYS" is a translation of "SAB'IYYAT FI MAWA'IZHIL BARRIYAT." An ancient literature that has been widely known by the Santri in Islamic boarding schools.

The Yellow Book, which is almost buried in the heaps of the times, I deliberately brought it back so that it would be more widely known by the Indonesian Muslims, especially those who were not santri, and especially the younger generation.

Then, said Ash-Sheikh Abu Nasr Muhammad Ibn Abdurrahman al-Hamddani (May Allah have mercy):

"Know that Allah swt. Almighty, infinitely blessed, who has decorated the seven creatures with seven kinds of ornaments. This is an additional knowledge for the human beings, that in God's Eyes, behind the number seven lies a great thing which is full of secret wisdom.

First , Allah decorated the horizon with seven layers of the sky which were sprinkled with stars.

"And we build upon you seven strong heavens." (Qs. 78:12).

"... and We decorate the sky for those who look at it." (Qs. 15:15).

Second , Allah decorated the vast courtyard of the world with seven different earths which are equipped with seven different seas. "Allah is the one who created the seven heavens and the earth as well." (Qs. 65:12).

"... and the sea, added to him the seven seas." (Qs. 31:27).

Third : Allah created the seven levels of hell: Hell; Sa'ir, Saqar; Jahiem; Huthamag; Ladza and Hawiyah, equipped with seven entrances.

"... for him seven doors. For each door seven specific sections. " (Qs. 15:44).

Fourth , Allah adorns the Qur'an with seven asba '(as the aim), which is adorned with the seven verses of Surat al-Fatihah.

"And indeed We have brought to you for verses that are read over and over again and the glorious Qur'an." (Qs. 15:87).

Fifth , Allah completes the human event, with the seven limbs being the most active in worship; two hands to look up in prayer a pair of feet to bow down on one's knees; and knees to kneel in submission; and a face to prostrate taqarrub.

"... and prostrate and draw near (yourself to Allah)." (Qs. 96:19).

Sixth , Allah divides the seven stages of human life:

1. The period of breastfeeding (radhi).

2. The period of weaning from breastfeeding (fathim)

3. Childhood (shabi)

4. The transition period (ghulam)

5. Youth or adolescence (syab)

6. Old age (kahl), and

7. The old age of grandparents (Sheikh), which is adorned with seven words: La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah.

"... and Allah obliges them (believers) to have the sentence of takwa (sentence of tauhid), and they have the right and must have it ..." (Qs. 48:26).

Seventh , Allah completes the natural world with seven series of days: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. With these seven days, Allah then imitated His seven prophets:

1. Allah wrote the Prophet Musa a.s. with Saturday

2. Allah imitated Prophet Isa, a.s. with Sunday.

3. Allah imitated the Prophet David, a.s. with Monday.

4. Allah imitated Prophet Sulaiman a.s. with Tuesday.

5. Allah mengisitmewakan Prophet Ya'qub a.s. with Wednesday.

6. Allah wrote the Prophet Adam a.s. with Thursday.

7. Allah blessed the Prophet Muhammad. and the ummah with Friday.

So when I contemplated this matter, my desire blossomed to compose a book which I named "KITABUS-SAB'IYYAT FI MAWA'IZHIL BARRIYAT" , containing seven chapters that will reveal the meaning and secrets contained in the events in Behind the seven series of days (in order to provide advice and advice to the ummah), and as an additional lesson for those who are thirsty for knowledge, and as a warning to reap the lessons.
