Radio Sonata establishment by decree of Mayor of the municipality of Level II Bandung No. 13192/72 dated August 15, 1972 has a background that is long enough. Radio Sonata originally stood on the business group of young people broadcast radio enthusiast named Radio Sonata 47 is taken as the name of the street is located in RE. Martadinata 47.

In 1971 moved to Taman Pramuka Jl. RE. Martadinata No. 114 this case on the orders of the mayor of Bandung and its activities in collaboration with Kwarcab Scouts, and on August 15, officially became the Sonata Radio radio studio in Bandung City area.

Then, in line with the development of radio technology it developed into a Radio Radio Sonata by using frequency modulation which is better known as FM. Sonata FM Radio started broadcasting in March 2004.

Sonata 107.8 FM radio broadcasters in the form of a legal entity established by the State which is independent, neutral, non-commercial and function is to provide services for the benefit of society.
