First Aid Guide

Learn the first aid gestures with the Battalion of Marines-Pompiers de Marseille!

This "Guide of First Rescues" was developed by doctors and trainers in first aid of the Battalion of Marines-Pompiers of Marseilles, in order to allow everyone to have easy access, at any moment, to all the knowledge necessary and all the necessary procedures to provide first aid to victims.

Presented in the form of easy-to-read sheets, the description of the first aid gestures is accompanied by beautiful illustrations made specifically, to facilitate understanding and realization.

We live in a world where the sources of risks, dangers and threats are many and varied, both on a daily basis and during exceptional events. Even if every citizen has a great and legitimate security requirement, he or she can not be confined to waiting for help in the event of an accident. He or she must be the author of his own safety and that of all those who are close to him.

This is why the Civil Security has built its new structural and organizational system by putting the citizen at the center of the device, with the publication of Law No. 2004-811 of August 13, 2004 known as the "law of modernization of civil security".

Through this new legislation and considering that "civil security is everyone's business", the State intends to provide an appropriate response to the proliferation of accidents, disasters and disasters. As a result, the citizen is the first actor of his own security and, consequently, of that of others.

In accordance with the decree of 16 November 2011 setting the national reference of competences of civil security relating to the teaching unit "Prevention and Civil Rescue of level 1" and of its experience, the Battalion of Marines-Pompiers of Marseilles has developed a comprehensive training at this teaching unit to enable participants to acquire "everyday" accident skills.

The content of this training is in accordance with the state texts, version September 2018, and allows the issuance of the training certificate to PSC1.

This guide is also a technical document to which the trainer can refer, both in the preparation and during the course of the training sessions.

Thanks to each trainer for being one of the links in this important national strategic direction for educating the general public and the world of work.
