About PreFalls-Mobile

PreFalls-Mobile is a dedicated application for elderly care.

PreFalls-Mobile is a dedicated application for elderly care. It is used by medical staffs or caregivers to assess the immobility behaviour and the fall risk of elderly people remotely in real-time. To use the application, a mobile phone equipped with motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) and installed with PreFalls-Mobile has to be worn on the waist of elderly people when they perform activity of daily livings (ADLs). The application will send sensor measurements to PreFalls cloud server which then processes them dynamically, performs data analysis and finally graphically displays analytical results and related information on PreFalls-Online (PreFalls web-based application) in real-time. These information is utilised to support medical staffs in diagnosing diseases and planning the treatment.
