Personal portfolio of Pietro Morfea

Born in Taurianova (RC) on 01.07.1964 and currently lives in Delianuova (RC).

A retired firefighter, he has always cultivated various passions, one of which is photography, to which in recent years he has dedicated much of his time to refine his photographic technique. Always looking for new places for his shots and in the company of his inseparable camera, he began his self-taught journey, becoming more and more passionate about this art.

His shots range across various fields. Panoramas, which he prefers, with photos at sunrise or sunset especially if in the presence of clouds, where they create contrasts of colors and unique nuances that excite him with every shot. The photos taken at sunset, with that warm and indirect cut of light, transmit unique sensations to those who observe them. Another theme dear to him is the sea; when he photographs the stormy sea, he manages to capture the smallest details, highlighting the waves that follow one another and crash on the shoreline.

He has always taken care of black and white photography in its various shades, committing himself more and more with the aim of refining the technique, always looking for new subjects for his shots, which he defines as "emotional", as each of us looking at them interprets them in a personal way, receiving different and unique sensations.

The street view is always in black and white, to highlight details that escape most. And finally, macro photography in general and portraiture.
