We’ve probably all heard or even uttered the phrase, “That really puts things into perspective.” Perspective is all about relativity, when you pull back and look at the larger picture and take a different view, maybe things aren't so bad, or maybe there’s a solution where it seemed like there wasn't before. In the art world, perspective is still about your point of view, and the relationships of objects to one another. Only this time, it’s more spatial. When you learn to draw, you learn the importance of perspective.

Perspective drawing is a drawing technique used to illustrate dimension through a flat surface. Drawing is just a skill, and there is nothing preventing you from learning anything whatsoever. Anyone can bake a cake. Just follow instructions and easy to follow steps, and the result will show. Once you convince yourself of this, learning to draw will be easier than you think.

Perfection in simplicity, drawings created using pencils are a simplistic artwork, and have a unique way of capturing an essence seen within a moment. An artist using a pencil learns to hear what language the pencil voices the moment the fingertips touch the pencil. What weight does this remarkable little tool carry? The artist then consciously records this into his creation algorithm, next the fingers wrap around and take their hold, another milestone. This point of connection is one of the pivotal points of the drawing about to unfold. Feeling how the pencil feels in the fingers, an understanding of how this pencil dances emerges. The language is now understood.

Project Perspective - Now pick a point on the page that you want to use as your perspective. Project lines from all the points of your side view, such as the corners and indents of the body. Make sure these lines are straight, use a ruler and a light pencil once again.

Why shadows are important: Many beginners draw characters that appear to be floating in mid air. This can easily be avoided by adding shadow of your characters. Adding exact and accurate shadow can be difficult and time consuming, but fortunately you do not need to draw very detailed shadow. Adding small patches to represent shadow will work just fine.

This step is the most time consuming part in the how to draw a car step by step instructions, depending on how good you want it to look. You will need to use a variety of different pencils to achieve the contrast in tones needed to get a nice metallic look. To get a good grasp on this, we'd suggest you going out and looking how light plays on cars and imagining it in black and white. Apply this to your drawings and it will be easier to envisage how your car should look. Remember to leave the highlights of your car unshaded to use the natural white of the paper to create that shiny look.
