GPS tracks workers out in the field against a specified schedule

Field service engineers are required to be tracked while working out in the field. They are only tracked against a configured schedule e.g. Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. They have the option to override the scheduler and stop/start tracking their device as they see fit. The GPS data is transmitted to our servers so we can contact our customers with an impending arrival of one of our field-service workers. A customer will be sms'd/emailed a link giving them the approximate location of the worker and their estimated time of arrival. The "Operative On Way" application uses a commercial plugin provided by transistorsoft.com that preserves device battery power while GPS tracking in the foreground and background.
