1) Malgudi Days

Malgudi Days is an Indian television series based on the eponymous works of Madras born R. K. Narayan. The series was directed by Kannada actor and director Shankar Nag. Carnatic musician L. Vaidyanathan composed the score. R. K Narayan's younger brother and acclaimed cartoonist R. K. Laxman was the sketch artist.The series was made in 1986 by film producer T. S. Narasimhan with Anant Nag as the lead actor.

Laurel and Hardy were a motion picture comedy team whose official filmography consists of 106 films released from 1921 and 1951. Together they appeared in 34 silent shorts, 45 sound shorts, and 27 full-length sound feature films.

5) Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi

Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi is a sitcom that was popular on Indian television; it aired for the first time in 1984. It was written by comedy writer Sharad Joshi and directed by Kundan Shah, S. S. Oberoi and Raman Kumar. It was one of the first sitcoms and one of the biggest hit shows on Indian television.A sitcom about a couple, a brother-in-law, and the trouble they get into.

6) Flop Show

Flop Show is an Indian television sitcom that first aired on Doordarshan in 1991 (March-May). The show was written and directed by satirical humourist Jaspal Bhatti, who also played himself as the main character. His wife Savita Bhatti produced the show and also acted in all the episodes as his wife. The sitcom was a satire on the socio-cultural problems faced by the common man in India at the time.

7) Mungerilal ke hasin sapne

A TV comedy serial directed by Prakash Jha, Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne was a show about a small time clerk who had a habit of day dreaming.

8) Nukkad

The serial dealt with the struggles of urban youth trying to make a living in an increasingly harsh social and economic climate. The premise was that they all met together at the local street corner Nukkad every evening where they shared their life stories with each other and sometimes started some new ones too.

9) Dekh Bhai Dekh

The story revolves around three generations of the Diwan family, who live as an extended family in an ancestral bungalow in the suburbs of Mumbai. The serial takes the viewer through their various ups and downs. Their never-say-die attitude helps them overcome sibling rivalry, relationship troubles, business problems, irksome parents and in-laws. A distinctive feature of this show were its fast speaking characters.

10) Zabaan sambhal ke

A show that revolved around funny incidents between the Hindi teacher and the students while trying to teach, learn and speak Hindi and its proper pronunciations.
