A tornado made of pies! Spin, slice, and place shapes to patch the force field.
The hit PBS Kids show, Odd Squad, brings you Pienado. Arch villain Odd Todd has unleashed a Pienado - a tornado made of pies - delicious but dangerous. Odd Squad needs your help to fix the force field that protects the town. Plug the holes in the force field by spinning, slicing, and placing different shapes that fly past. Watch out for cows, cats, and pie-splats as the Pienado blows by.
Young Odd Squad agents will use shape vocabulary to recognize squares, rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, and other 2D shapes. They'll also have adventures in shape composition and decomposition; they'll investigate and predict the results of putting together, taking apart, moving, and rotating 2D shapes. They'll find hidden shapes in complex arrangements (shapes inside other shapes) as they construct new shapes from old.
This app, from Sinking Ship Entertainment, producers of Odd Squad, makes basic math concepts fun for children to learn and practice, either with their parents or on their own.
