Version 1.1.7

Tool for android phone from android OS 4.3 and higher

Connection

Use a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter ELM327 or compatible to connect to the car 's data link port.

Auto detect OBDII protocol used by car

Follows exact coolant temperature and issues alert sound when the coolant temperature reaches a certain threshold

Problems

Wondering whether or not you should be worried about your engine overheating? You should be very concerned, driving a car with an overheated engine may destroy the cylinder head, engine block or internal parts.

The temperature gauge in your vehicle is designed to indicate the temperature of your engine’s coolant. This gauge will tell you if your engine’s coolant is cold (Cold C), normal (about in the middle), or overheating (Hot H), but not shows you exact temperature. This app will solve these problems

Temperature threshold

1. Operating engine temperature is about 90 ºC – 104 ºC (195 ºF – 220 ºF) : This is the temperature at which the thermostat opens allowing coolant to travel to the radiator.

2. Overheating temperature threshold in this app is set to 110 ºC (230 ºF): This is temperature , at which the app will sound to alert you that engine is overheated. This threshold can be set (adjusted) to suit with your car.

Features

1. This app allows you to follow exact temperature at every moment

2. This app allows you to determine operating temperature to open the thermostat (by observing the temperature gauge needle, when it is shown stably at the middle sit)

3. This app will sound continuously when the temperature reaches the threshold

4. This app allows you to change the overheating alert threshold (the overheating threshold must be higher than the operating temperature with some degrees of celsius or fahrenheit, how much is this amount of degrees depends on how soon you want the app to alert)

5. The app’s default value of the overheating threshold is 110 ºC /230 ºF.

You need to decrease the threshold if the it is too high in compare with operating temperature

You need to increase the threshold if the it is lower than operating temperature

Solutions with an Overheated Engine:

If your engine does begin to overheat while you’re on the road, it’s important not to continue to go to find the service station. Instead, stop the car and try a some quick fixes first.

If you have reserved coolant and water in your car, try adding those first if your engine begins to overheat. The coolant level may just be a little too low.

If this doesn’t work, turn off the air conditioner and turn on your heat. Turning on the heat can help shift the heat away from your engine. After a few kilometers, you can turn it off and check how the engine is doing.

If your engine overheats, remember do not pour cold water into the hot radiator. A sudden temperature change may damage the radiator.
