About North Pine Sports Club

This is the official app of the North Pine Sports Club

North Pine - The name and district of North Pine started on the northern banks of the North Pine River, however it's name was changed to Petrie after explorer Tomas Petrie in 1910

1974 - The North Pine United soccer club was formed in 1974, originally playing its home games on the centre arena of the Lawnton Showgrounds.

There are more than half a dozen players that have played at the club for over 20 years, some of which are still involved with North Pine coaching our juniors.

There are numerous champion and premier North Pine teams in both junior and senior competition in our clubs history.

Many North Pine players have played representative football for not only Brisbane North and Brisbane Representative blue and silver teams but also for Queensland teams. Shane Coffey played Queensland State League (QSL) and is currently playing Veto Premier League for North Pine and Timothy Smits who began his career at North Pine is currently playing for Brisbane Roar in the A League.

There are 16 life members at North Pine and the real success of our club has been the strength, dedication and longevity of the committee since the club was formed with very supportive members both past and present over a long period of time and we will continue to develop and grow into the future.

During this time the club has come up with some fantastic ideas and innovative plans to ensure the strength of the club continues long in to the future.

One of the main areas the club was looking to improve on was the way in which it was currently communicating with its players, members, supporters and sponsors.

With a forward thinking and a dynamic board the club was actively pursuing different methods which would enable them to improve on their existing communication channels.

After conducting a review of all the options available to them the club is pleased to announce the release of their first ever native mobile phone app for Android.
