About Norrvikens trädgårdar

Welcome to Norrviken - the whole world in one garden.

Norrviken is a place that is unparalleled anywhere else.

The park's beautiful style gardens take you to several corners of the earth and every year Norrviken is inspired by a theme that permeates the park both in exhibitions and in installations.

Rudolf Abelin was something of an explorer and brought home garden inspiration from all over the world. This resulted in Norrviken's style gardens on the Bjäre Peninsula's most beautiful place by Laholmsbukten. A visit here is a sensual experience that surprises, seduces and changes expression according to the season. The Renaissance garden with its tightly cut shapes, boxwood and tall beech hedges. The water garden's small rapids, falls and ponds descend the slope of the ridge in a rhythm that has much in common with the water gardens of the Italian High Renaissance. Other style gardens to visit are the magnificent Baroque Garden, the seductive Japanese Garden, the tranquil Eastern Terrace and the fabulous Romantic Garden with branch caves and magnificent flowering. And in Rudolf's spirit - where nothing can stand still - we have created new garden rooms. Molins, an inspiring idea garden for the small garden and Hasse's happy garden, a play and learning garden that is created especially for the children.

You can come to Norrviken's gardens again and again, all year round. Here is a rarely seen splendor with over thirty well-grown magnolias, the mythical handkerchief trees, the old Vresboken and a sea of hydrangeas in the Water Garden - just to name a few. There is plenty to discover here for both small and large among gnarled trees, salamanders, peacocks and domestic koi fish. In Hasse's happy garden, the little ones can challenge themselves on the Keep-balance-road, run on Blå Bäcken and learn more about vegetables and cultivation.

Anyone who visits Norrviken's gardens quickly discovers that there is more to enjoy than beautiful greenery. In Villa Abelin you will find the Orangeriet restaurant with its unique kitchen where locally grown shelves. Enjoy original paintings in the green room that testify to the last century. In the Villa you will find two unique suites with beautiful views of the garden and rooms adapted for the small and large conference. For ice cream and praline lovers, a visit to the Chocolaterian is a must.

The magnificent Victoria House is frequently booked for weddings and large events and Erikshus is a green place for exhibitions. In our beautiful interior design shop you will find selected interior details in a wonderful mix of antiques from Laserow.

Come along to the clearings, the hidden places, nature's own untouched rooms, with new paths to follow. The clear lines of sight through Norrviken make the boundaries float, and the garden becomes part of the forest and sea. The meeting between the elegantly landscaped, the wild and the open clearings in between, creates Norrviken's unique magic. Let your soul grow green in Norrviken's gardens!
