Do you like or love Japan?

Japan had been previously admired as Country of Gold and it was introduced to the world through various medium such as films, pictures and writers.

Koizumi Yakumo ( Patrick Lafcadio Hearn) , a writer from Greece, was one of them. He introduced Japan particularly favorably. He wrote on the day of first arrival here in Japan;

“Everything here is pleasant indescribably. Now I am really standing on the land of the Far East. Before me, who am sitting on Jinriki-sya, a pileus of rickshawman is dancing up and down.

I see row of tiny houses which hold blue roofs, blue shop curtains and small people wearing blue kimonos. They curiously watch me and I see no enmity in their eyes. They are just smiling so beamingly.”

And, as you know, Japan has changed dramatically. Well, it is hard to tell you all the things that happened, but my only intention is to introduce Japanese society and cultures so that you might embrace interest to think Japan favorably or come and see us!
