Nepali Calendar is the official calendar of Nepal. It follows the Bikram Sambat System. This nepali calendar includes all the public holidays, events, and other important festivals of the cultural ethnic groups of Nepal. Nepali calendar is developed with detail accuracy and follows Nepal panchang for events and festivals. It list all the important festivals like Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Chhath, Lhosar, Eid etc useful for the Nepalese community in Nepal and Abroad. This calendar is use mainly in Nepal and hence it is known as Nepali Calendar all over the world.

The Nepali Calendar uses lunar months and solar sidereal year. The New Year is on 1st Baishakh (mid of April). It is approximately 56 years and 8½ months ahead of the Gregorian calendar (A.D). There are 12 months, but unlike the international calendar, it has varied dates on every month, as they are not pre-determined. The months have minimum of 28 (usually Mangshir/Poush) days and maximum of 32 (usually Asar/Shrawan) days.
