Basler transporting enterprises operate as the largest partner in Tarifverbund Northwestern Switzerland in Basel and the surrounding area more than 180 km tram and bus lines. 9 bus and 13 bus lines 83 daily Tram compositions and buses 82 in use. Since 2006, the BVB is run as a public institution and is 100 percent owned by the canton of Basel-Stadt. 1241 BVB employees ensure 365 days a year to ensure smooth operation.
